CnS Energy Systems “Powers Up” with SCORE

                CnS Energy Systems researches customers’ needs and provides the best possible solutions for a continuous power supply for its customers.

                CnS founders Dan and Cindy Critz came to SCORE Rochester in early October, 2005 with plans to start a business that would install, service and maintain  continuous power supply systems with the highest possible level of professionalism and courtesy.  Cindy is President of CnS.

                Dan and Cindy’s objective was to provide their customers with the cost effective solutions that would enable them to have a constant power supply from multiple sources, seamlessly tied together.

         Rob Moyer of Comtec Solutions, one of CnS’s customers says, “We have customers all over the state and needed completely redundant power systems.  We knew Dan and Cindy and their integrity and we knew that CnS has  the ability to give us what we need.”

CnS stresses the following as “keys to success”:

                Standby Power Generation Specialists.  CnS offers their customers the knowledge and confidence of dealing with a business specializing in standby energy solutions.

                Standby Power Generator Dealer and Service Provider.  CnS is a dealer and service provider of the Generac and Guardian line of standby generators.  This allows them to offer lower costs, expert service and warranty care for the products they install.

                Confidence in Regulatory Compliance.  CnS will install, service, and maintain these systems in strict compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws.

                CnS has arranged with one of the local banking institutions to place a generator on display and provide handout advertising.  They plan to display another generator in a local appliance store in the near future.

 

                SCORE counselors provided guidance to CnS as they converted Dan’s ideas into a complete business plan and completed their organizational process.  “SCORE’s assistance to us was invaluable”, Dan says.  “Periodic meetings with our SCORE counselor gave us the opportunity to test our thinking, make adjustments and assure ourselves that we had considered all issues connected with starting a small business.”

                CnS’s long range goals include moving into Renewable Energy Products as these products become feasible. Cindy says, “By providing our customers with the same level of sales, engineering, installation and service we will participate in bringing these products into the main stream.”
