           The John and Betty Cline are the owners and managing partners of AMD Business Brokers LLC and AMD Realty Services LLC.

  • John is an independent businessman, personally experienced in the purchase and start-up of several businesses.  He is a skilled negotiator in direct sales of small and medium-size retail, service and manufacturing businesses.  He has more that 20 years of successful business brokerage experience. 
  • Betty Cline directs all administrative responsibilities to assure that documentation and transaction materials are processed and maintained in an orderly, confidential manner and that a client’s visit to the office is enjoyable and productive.  A trained staff of Sales Associates assists buyers and sellers in all aspects of the transactions.
  • William D. Fletcher is a NYS Licensed Real Estate Broker and is associated with the new “sister business,” AMD Realty Services, LLC.   Bill is well known and respected in the real estate Rochester community and has many years’ experience listing and selling commercial real estate.  He will provide training and direction, allowing the organization to expand its activities into commercial real estate.

                                                 

Locally owned and independently operated, AMD Business Brokers is a business intermediary and acts as an agent for sellers of businesses in Monroe and surrounding counties.  They make business ownership a reality for people who have a desire to become independent business owners by providing both buyers and sellers with specialized services that are customized and completely confidential.

  • Sellers receive the expert market knowledge AMD offers that places a realistic and saleable selling price on their business. AMD conduct all negotiations with the buyer and enable the seller to obtain the best possible selling price for a business and hold the transaction together during the critical “due diligence process.  All elements of the sale are handled quickly, efficiently and without disruption to the seller’s normal business routine.
  • Buyers are matched with available business opportunities that correspond with their interests, experience and available resources.  AMD handles all negotiations with the seller and enables buyers to purchase a business at competitive and reasonable prices.  They receive assistance with loans, leases and any licensing requirements that may be required.

John Cline formed AMD Business Brokers in 1983 and, for many years operated the business from his home.  Betty joined the business in 1998 and, in 2005 they moved the business to its present location in an office suite at 2269 Lyell Avenue, town of Gates.  The current location is conveniently located and easily accessible from I-390.  Since the move, the business has expanded and now has eight associates.  Four of the associates are Licensed Real Estate Salespersons.  Plans are in place to add additional associates and real estate people to handle commercial real estate sales.

AMD’s clients are independently owned businesses in all categories having sales values as small as $50,000 and as high as $4 Million.  Customers are men and women from all walks of life who have a “nest egg” and want to “buy a job” and enjoy freedom as independent business people.  Typically, AMD’s customers learn about the businesses that are available through newspaper advertisements, website publicity and referrals from satisfied clients.

The organization has plans for growth beyond the sale of business opportunities and commercial real estate such as insurance, loan packaging and similar services that are needed by the same client base

In February, 2006, Dave Woods represented SCORE and shared his expert knowledge on advertising and marketing, allowing AMD to focus efforts on areas that would obtain necessary results.  Currently John Bayley consults with AMD on a regular basis, sharing his expertise on a broad range of business topics.  He has an enormous amount of knowledge regarding the Rochester business environment and is always willing to delve into areas where guidance is needed.  For example, he provided information that allowed AMD to streamline their interview process, allowing faster, more intelligent decisions regarding prospective associates to be made.  He has arranged meetings with other SCORE counselors from specific fields who lent their expertise in areas that are impacting current and future growth plans.  Wally Pensgen consulted regarding commercial real estate, Ed Joseph shared his knowledge and experience in the insurance business, Julian Yudelson on marketing and Ed Lynd shared his expertise in commercial banking.
