Women Business Owners’ Roundtable

Open Forum

On Wednesday, February 7th, 2007, The US Small Business Administration, SCORE Chapter 23, SBDC/SUNY Brockport and the Greater Rochester Chapter of NAWBO will host a roundtable discussion targeted to women business owners at the Federal Building, 100 State Street, B-Level Conference Room, Rochester, NY from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.

Have you ever wondered how other business owners get things done? Do you want to tap the knowledge and experience of other Roundtable participants? Or perhaps you discovered a great way to reach success in your business and want to share that with other business owners? This month’s Roundtable is an Open Forum. Bring your Questions, bring your Tips, bring your Lunch and bring a Friend!

The Rochester Women’s Roundtable is a mentoring and support group for women entrepreneurs. We come together to share our expertise and learn from each other.

Marketing on the Internet

On Wednesday, February 14th, 2007, SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present a workshop entitled Marketing on the Internet at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State St., Rochester, NY from 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The program includes information on Establishing an Effective Online Presence, Search Engine Optimization, Other Online Marketing Tools and Measuring Online Effectiveness. The presenter will be Mary Anne Shew, President, Business Vitality, LLC.

The $45.00 registration fee includes continental breakfast & lunch.

Starting a Small Business

On Tuesday evenings, March 27th, April 3rd, April 17th and April 24th, 2007, SCORE, the US Small Business Administration and the West Irondequoit Central School District Department of Community Education will present a course, Starting a Small Business , at West Irondequoit High School, 350 Cooper Road from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The series will address business planning, budgeting and cash management, insurance and legal considerations, marketing and finance.

Small Business Startup & Survival

On Wednesday, March 14th, 2007, SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present an all-day workshop entitled Small Business Startup & Survival at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The program includes information on SBA programs, business planning, banking, marketing, and legal, tax and insurance considerations

The presenters will be people from the business community and SCORE members.
