Starting a Small Business
On Tuesday evenings, April 1st, April 8th, April 22nd and April 29th, 2008, SCORE, the
US Small Business Administration and the West Irondequoit Central School District Department of Community Education will present a course, Starting a Small Business, at West Irondequoit High School, 260 Cooper Road from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The series will address business planning, budgeting and cash management, insurance and legal considerations, marketing and finance.

Starting and Operating Your Own Business
The Rush-Henrietta High School Continuing Education Department , SCORE and the US Small Business Administration and will present a course, Starting and Operating Your Own Business , at the Rush-Henrietta High School, 1799 Lehigh Station Road, Henrietta from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The four week series will run on Monday evenings, March 31st, April 7th, April 21st and April 28th, 2008.
The series will cover business planning, marketing techniques, banking, and insurance, accounting and legal matters. Experts in their respective fields will conduct each session.

Small Business Startup & Survival
On Wednesday, March 19th, 2008, SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present an all-day workshop entitled Small Business Startup & Survival at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY from 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The program includes information on SBA programs, business planning, banking, marketing, and legal, tax and insurance considerations
The presenters will be people from the business community and SCORE members.

On Wednesday, February 13th, 2008, SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present a workshop entitled Marketing on the Internet at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State St., Rochester, NY from 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The program includes information on Web Site Basics, All About Search Engines, The Other Internet Marketing Tools, Online and Offline Marketing Magic and Measuring Your Marketing to Make Money. The presenter will be Mary Anne Shew, President, Business Vitality, LLC.

Women Business Owners' Roundtable
Your Small Business Internet Security Issues
On Wednesday, February 6th, 2008, the US Small Business Administration, Urban League of Rochester Inc and SCORE Chapter 23 will host a roundtable discussion targeted to women business owners at the Federal Building, 100 State St., B-Level Conference Room, Rochester, NY from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Is your information safe from hackers? Are you concerned that your records can be seen or damaged by outsiders? Do you use wireless devices? Come and learn about the changing internet security issues your business is facing and how to manage them when you don’t have an IT Department. As always….Bring your Questions, bring your Tips, bring your Lunch and bring a Friend!
The Rochester Women’s Roundtable is a mentoring and support group for women entrepreneurs. We come together to share our expertise and learn from each other.
