Free Counseling

Would you like to talk to someone who has had the same kinds of business problems you have, and who has solved them successfully? That is what SCORE is all about - free and confidential business counseling by men and women who have had successful business careers as executives or owners of businesses.

The local Rochester SCORE chapter has 50 men and women who can advise you on starting or improving a small business. We are part of SCORE, a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation’s small business. Our counselors have a variety of skills and business experience including: accounting, consulting, distribution, financial planning, franchising, government contracting, human resources, marketing, operations, retail, strategic planning, technology and nonprofit management.

SCORE business counselors are well-versed in how to develop effective business plans and create strategies for business growth—they are here to help you set your course for success. Whether you are just starting a business or expanding an established business, SCORE counselors are here to help

SMART Program     If you are already in business and would like help to grow your business, consider signing up for the free SMART program. A team of experienced SCORE counselors works with your management team to identify your problems and concerns and then assists you in dealing with the identified issues.

Making business decisions that may affect your livelihood or the success of your business should be made in an environment where all of the relevant details can be discussed.
